In the Catholic Church, Sunday, November 2, is All Souls Day. The prayers readings, homily, and music at St. Anthony Shrine this weekend will to help us remember, mourn and honor all of the deceased members of our faith community. This year’s event is unique in that we will also have a memorial set up for the late Tom Menino, and will remember him in our intercessory prayers. We invite worshippers to sign a book of remembrance to be given to the Mayor’s widow, Angela. Mayor Menino will lie in state at Faneuil Hall, beginning at 10 am. The Franciscan Friars warmly invite the public to visit the Shrine immediately before or after your visit to Faneuil Hall. It is a ten-minute walk from Faneuil Hall to St. Anthony Shrine at 100 Arch St.
