Our ministries continue to go full speed ahead. The Franciscan Food Center distributes 300 tons of food to the poor every year. This is an incredible ministry which requires a huge amount of work and coordination on the part of our volunteers and our staff at the Shrine. Two Wednesday afternoons a month we get huge deliveries of food from the Greater Boston Food Bank and from other sources. We could use some volunteers to help unload trucks for us. It’s not a job for just anyone: lots of physical strength is required.
