The Franciscan Friars of the Province of the Most Holy Name of Jesus
announce the Ordination of our brothers
Ross R. Chamberland, O.F.M.
A native of Nashua, N.H., Ross joined the Order to be “a peacemaker, and one who makes all people feel welcome in our Church.” He has served in a number of parish ministries, including liturgical coordinator, catechist and group facilitator for AIDS/HIV patients, and holds a degree in social justice and urban life. Ross has worked, to great extent, with “at risk” youth as a high school teacher, adolescent mental health counselor, and also as the Director of the Boston Catholic Youth Connection. BCYC was a collaborative effort, on the part of 14 inner city parishes to deal with issues concerning youth violence, gang violence, and safety.
Jeffery V. Jordan, O.F.M.
Born in Anderson, S.C., Jeffery was originally a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church. He was welcomed into the Roman Catholic faith in 2004. In May, Jeffery completed a year of ministry at St. Bonaventure University, where he taught an introductory course examining Hebrew, Christian and Islamic sacred texts. He also took part in campus ministry by preaching at and providing music for Mass. Jeffery, who holds bachelor’s degrees in linguistics and Romance languages, is studying in Rome at the Pontifical Biblical Institute, known as the Biblicum, where he will be pursuing the S.S.L in Sacred Scripture
