Parents who attended the Emmaus Ministry for Grieving Parents monthly meeting on Sunday paid tribute to Fr. Jim Czerwinski, who died this past week. Fr. Jim was instrumental in maintaining the ministry at the Shrine for the past several years. He was highly praised for his kind compassion and concern, and parents expressed shock and sadness at his passing. After sharing memories, together we prayed the “Salve Regina.”
The Emmaus Ministry, which serves the spiritual needs of grieving parents, meets the first Sunday of every month after the 10am mass at the Shrine. It also offers One-day and Weekend Retreats.
