Friars and volunteers are busy today distributing St. Anthony Bread to lobby visitors and pedestrians on Summer and Arch Streets. We’ll be distributing over 3,000 rolls generously donated by Piantedosi Baking Company throughout the day today.

The Shrine’s patron saint, St. Anthony of Padua, was renown for his compassion for the poor of this world. We distribute bread every year on St. Anthony’s feast day, June 13, as a reminder of our common obligation to care for the poor.
