assumptionOn Thursday we celebrate the feast of the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Vigil Masses are available on Wednesday at 4:15 p.m. (in English) and at 5:15 p.m. (in Spanish). On Thursday, Masses are at 6 a.m., 7 a.m., 8 a.m., 10 a.m., 11:45 a.m., 12:30 p.m., 1:15 p.m., 4:15 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. (all in English).

The Assumption commemorates the end of Mary's life on earth and her bodily assumption into Heaven, before her body could begin to decay. Because it signifies the Blessed Virgin's passing into eternal life, it is the most important of all Marian feasts and is a holy day of obligation.
