Led by Brothers Ken Hagan and John Crowley, members of Pipefitters Local 537 Boston MA, are volunteering their time and expertise at St. Anthony Shrine in downtown Boston to retro-fit the existing building Steam and Chill Water Systems. With the cooperation and backing of Mechanical Contractor, E.M. Duggan Company, and pipe suppliers Metropolitan Pipe and Supply and the Charles D. Sheehy Company, the 537 Fitters are working on the first mechanical renovation to the Church and Friars residence since it was built in 1954, employing all the latest techniques for layout, fabrication and installation.

It is only right that the work at St. Anthony’s Shrine, known as “The Workers’ Chapel,” is being done by the working members of Local 537. Project Superintendent Kevin Sheehan, Shrine Executive Director Fr. Thomas Conway, Shrine Director of Facilities Debby Hawes, and Shrine Mechanical Supervisor Br. Chris Coccia, all wish to thank all the members of Local 537 for their dedication and craftsmanship.
