“In honor of those who go before us, leaving memories which have helped to shape us. Reminding us that life is full of possibilities not yet seen.”

Life and death are inextricably linked. Life’s paradox is that every person deals with death – if not through grief for the death of loved ones, then through facing one’s one death. Often time it is at the time of death that people find themselves most vulnerable because the degree of pain and despair they are experiencing. Throughout the grieving process, frequently there are few people who will listen and understand the intensity of what loss is all about.

St. Anthony Shrine offers a six consecutive week support group to those grieving the death of someone they have loved who has died. For all too often there is a need to have a safe and reassuring environment to express their feelings of pain, emptiness and hurt; St. Anthony’s can just be that place.

Meeting dates: All meetings are held on Mondays from 5:30 pm – 7:00 pm. June 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, and July 6 (Mass of Remembrance). It is imperative that participants attend all six meetings.

Pre-registration is required. Please contact Fr. Joe Quinn, OFM at 617-542-6440 Ext 239 or at [email protected].
