The Franciscan Food Center Today
Today, there are about 1800 Members at the Food Center, which represents more than 4000 people. We serve about 400-450 Members each week.
Members come to us from many backgrounds and cultures all around Boston and speak many languages including Chinese, Creole, English, French and Spanish.
The Food Center is staffed by more than 150 Volunteers, many of whom are bi-lingual. Our Volunteers handle all aspects of the Food Center’s operations, including the delivery and distribution of about 5,000 to 10,000 lbs. of food each week.
