Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender & Queer (LGBTQ+)
Spirituality Ministry

The St. Anthony Shrine LGBTQ+ Spirituality Ministry is a community of faith where lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, and queer Catholics can explore, express and celebrate their whole wonderfully created selves and their Catholic faith and grow in hope with one another. Friends and allies are always welcome.

The Monthly Meeting of the LGBTQ+ Spirituality Ministry:

This ministry meets the second Sunday of every month following the 11:30 AM Mass (about 12:30 PM). Each month varies in different topics and/or guest speakers where members journey in their Catholic faith as beloved children of God. The group does not meet in July and August.

The Family and Friends of LGBTQ+ Persons Ministry:

This ministry meets the third Sunday of every month at 2 PM by Zoom and in person at St Cecilia Parish (18 Belvidere Street, Boston).

The group is a safe and welcoming place for parents, grandparents, family and friends of LGBTQ+ persons to gather to better understand and experience the Church as a welcoming and affirming place of worship where they and their loved one are celebrated as essential members of the Body of Christ. The group is facilitated by clergy and lay ministers. For the Zoom link email: [email protected]

Through the years of LGBTQ+ history, the community has come together in pride under different flags which have rich histories themselves.
